Mrs. Davis, Librarian
Mrs. Holcomb, Library Aide
Welcome back for a Great year for reading! The library is open to all students in grades k-12. Each grade level has a focus Book list that is named by the Texas Library Association. In grades k-2 students can receive 2x2 Books. In grades 3-6 students will be reading and learning from the Bluebonnet List, and then in January those who read 5 books and test on those books, will be invited to the Bluebonnet Party where they will vote for their favorite book. In 7th and 8th grade students are encouraged to read from the Lone Star book list. In High School students will be able to read some of the Taysha books that are available in our library. Reading is the foundation of learning and we encourage and welcome all students to visit the library and READ READ READ!
AR REQUIREMENTS
Students in the Middle school grades 5-8 will be rewarded for their reading this year by going on AR field trips in December and May. Students who receive 37.5 AR points by December 3rd and 75 AR points by May 6th will be eligible to attend fun, exciting field trips! In order to pay for these privileges the middle school will do fund raising. Students will be asked to help earn their way. Please help us encourage student reading by supporting our kids!
