Alto ISD is committed to ensuring that all partnerships reflect the values and expectations of our district and community. At this time, we are pausing our relationship with Lifetouch and are consulting with legal counsel regarding our options for exiting the current contract.

Prior to the most recent information brought to our attention, we had already begun exploring the possibility of working with local photographers for future campus needs. Our goal has always been to partner with vendors who best serve our students, families, and community.

At this time, the only photos previously scheduled with Lifetouch are elementary class pictures on April 9. We will notify families well in advance of that date regarding who will be taking those photos.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work through this process thoughtfully and responsibly. If you have questions, please contact the administration office.

Last night, members of American Legion Post 293 attended the Board of Trustees meeting to present a certificate of appreciation for the Veterans Day Program we hosted in November.

Mrs. Dorsey proudly accepted the award on behalf of Alto ISD. We are grateful for the opportunity to honor those who have served our country. 🇺🇸

Our students have worked hard preparing for tomorrow’s Black History Program, and we can’t wait to see it all come together. Please join us at 1:30 tomorrow in the high school gym!

At last night’s board meeting, the Alto ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2026–2027 district calendar.

Alto High School was well represented at the Student Council Spring Conference at Central Heights ISD last week. Students participated in leadership activities, voted on action items, and collaborated with peers from other schools. We’re proud of the way they represented our district!

Open House will be held on all three campuses on March 3 from 4:30–6:00 PM. The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open during that time — so be sure to stop by and find your next great read! 📚✨

Congratulations to TeAsia for earning a Gold Standard Award! Ms. Jones, who nominated TeAsia, had wonderful things to say about her! "TeAsia truly represents what it means to be a Gold Standard Student. She is kind, respectful, and thoughtful, and she consistently looks for ways to help both her teacher and her classmates. She puts in extra effort every day and takes pride in her learning. Recently, she even brought in a page of math problems she printed on her own to practice what we are learning in class." We're proud of you, TeAsia!

The middle school basketball games scheduled to be played in Cushing this evening will be played IN ALTO instead. Girls will play in the middle school gym and boys will play in the high school gym.

Congratulations to Asia R. for being recognized as a Gold Standard Student! Ms. Jones says that Asia "is such a hard worker and gives 100% every day and with every task. She is always focused, respectful, and kind to everyone around her. I'm very proud to be her teacher!"

Fifth graders had their turn in the mobile planetarium this morning! They enjoyed an engaging lesson about Earth and space—and even getting inside the planetarium was a brand-new experience!

Congratulations to Kambry and Lily— AMS Gold Standard Students! 🌟 They set the bar high with their effort, attitude, and example. 💛🖤

🥞 Coach Shaffer’s class has been busy in their classroom kitchen! Last week, they whipped up some delicious cookies, and today they took it up a notch with pancakes! Students took orders, measured ingredients, flipped pancakes, and even delivered them. Cooking isn’t just about food—it’s a hands-on way to develop math, science, literacy, social, and life skills all at once!

Today, Coach Parker and Coach Mayes took the Alto Middle School girls basketball team to ISD Day at SFA! The girls got to watch the Lady Jacks secure a victory over the Lady Lions and take in some valuable game-day lessons. What a great learning experience for our young athletes! 💛🖤

📢 Parents! Red Ribbon Week isn’t just about dressing up and theme days, it’s a chance for you to talk to your kids about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Believe it or not, YOU have a significant influence in your children’s decision to use alcohol and other drugs. It may not seem like it, but students DO listen 👂 when their parents talk about underage drinking and substance use.

The Drug-Free Council program is funded by a grant from TxDOT to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes in Texas. #TalkTheyHearYou

1. Alto Middle School with big wins versus Lovelady. 8th grade 62-32 and 7th grade 16-0. 🏈

2. Enrollment stays up at 525 students. ⬆️

3. Alto Middle School Volleyball wins the Latexo tournament. 🏐

4. Alto Elementary Rotunda Awards Assembly honoring achievements for many of our students. 📚

5. Alto High School National Honor Society induction ceremony for 17 new members. 🎓

6. Alto ISD had 27 students compete in the CCJLS Hay Judging Contest with two students, Makenzie Low (2nd place) and Eli Middleton (10th place), earn a top 10 finish in the 4-H contest. 🏅

7. Alto High School's Drug-Free Council provided public service announcements that will air on 90.9 KSWP radio. 📻

Special congratulations to Makenzie L., who placed 2nd with a score of 224, and Eli M., who placed 10th with a score of 214 in the 4-H contest. Even more exciting—their team took home 1st place! 🏆

Today Mrs. Dees took a brave step out of her comfort zone to present about Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Practices at the 53rd TABE conference for bilingual education in Allen, Texas. Advocating for our bilingual students is one of the many superpowers Mrs. Dees brings to our district!
