Congrats to the most recent โ€œGold Standardโ€ students at AMS, Kevin and Matthew! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ

Matthew comes to school with a great attitude and is ready to learn. His teacher is very proud of his effort and enthusiasm.

Kevin was chosen for helping keep the school clean and organized, often picking up after his classmates without being asked. His initiative and pride in his school set a great example for others to follow.

Happy National Coaches Day! ๐Ÿˆ ๐ŸฅŽ โšพ ๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Celebrated every year on October 6th, this day honors the incredible impact of coaches who serve as teachers, mentors, and role modelsโ€”helping athletes grow in skill, character, and confidence. Established by President Richard Nixon in 1972, National Coaches Day recognizes the dedication and heart coaches put into guiding, motivating, and building teamwork and discipline in their players.

Letโ€™s show our appreciation! ๐Ÿ’› Drop a comment below to thank our amazing Alto ISD coaches for all they do! ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค Mini Cheer Camp was a huge success! ๐Ÿโœจ
Our varsity cheerleaders had a blast teaching PKโ€“6th grade Yellowjackets fun cheers and chants. The campers showed off what they learned in a special performance for their parents, and theyโ€™ll take the field again to perform before the Tenaha game this Friday night!

Way to go, future Yellowjacket cheerleaders! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค

Last Thursday was School Custodian Appreciation Day, and we want to give a huge thank you to our Alto ISD custodiansโ€”Rodolfo, Francisco C., Francisco O., and Joel! These hardworking, dependable, and trustworthy men keep our schools running smoothly each and every day, and we couldnโ€™t do it without them.

AHS even caught a special moment celebrating Rodolfoโ€”thank you all for everything you do for our students and staff! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ

October is Principal Appreciation Month, and Alto ISD is blessed with three outstanding principals! Being a campus principal is a tough jobโ€”filled with long hours, hard decisions, and the responsibility of leading an entire school family.

We are thankful for Mrs. Mabry, Mr. Childs, and Mrs. Dorsey for their dedication, vision, and heart.๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ“ฃ For the remainder of football season, pep rallies will begin at 2:30 p.m. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ

This schedule allows our Junior High and JV football players, band members, and cheerleaders to participate before heading out for their away games. We love seeing all of our Yellowjackets come together to cheer on one another! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค

As always, the public is invited to pep rallies, but must sit in the designated area. Please do not enter the student section, and remember that students may not be picked up from the pep rally. Thanks for understanding!

Alto Middle School Gold Standard Award: Lucy B.

From Lucy's teacher: Lucy always works so hard and is always respectful to her teachers and peers. We have a math test today, and she brought me 3 pages of studying and review she did after school yesterday. I'm proud to be her teacher!

AMS Gold Standard Award: Macoy N.

Macoy always demonstrates excellent manners and is respectful at all times. He helps others (for example, he helped a classmate pick up a mess and helped someone find their spot in the notes...both without being prompted by an adult), and exhibits the AMS gold standard qualities every day.
