AHS even caught a special moment celebrating Rodolfoโthank you all for everything you do for our students and staff! ๐๐
We are thankful for Mrs. Mabry, Mr. Childs, and Mrs. Dorsey for their dedication, vision, and heart.๐๐

Congratulations to Cristian R. for being recognized as a Gold Standard Student at AMS! Cristian works hard in all of his classes and shows respect to everyone around him!

๐ฃ For the remainder of football season, pep rallies will begin at 2:30 p.m. ๐ถ๐๐
This schedule allows our Junior High and JV football players, band members, and cheerleaders to participate before heading out for their away games. We love seeing all of our Yellowjackets come together to cheer on one another! ๐๐ค
As always, the public is invited to pep rallies, but must sit in the designated area. Please do not enter the student section, and remember that students may not be picked up from the pep rally. Thanks for understanding!

Alto Middle School Gold Standard Award: Lucy B.
From Lucy's teacher: Lucy always works so hard and is always respectful to her teachers and peers. We have a math test today, and she brought me 3 pages of studying and review she did after school yesterday. I'm proud to be her teacher!

AHS Student Council has chosen some fun dress-up days for both AHS and AMS.
Our Alto Elementary students will be celebrating too, with their own set of themed days.
Check out the graphics with the whole week's lineup -- we canโt wait to see all the school spirit!

AMS Gold Standard Award: Macoy N.
Macoy always demonstrates excellent manners and is respectful at all times. He helps others (for example, he helped a classmate pick up a mess and helped someone find their spot in the notes...both without being prompted by an adult), and exhibits the AMS gold standard qualities every day.

A new Texas law (Senate Bill 12) now requires parents and guardians to provide consent before schools can offer certain physical or mental health services to students. We can no longer assist your child with routine needs unless it is a life-threatening emergency without a signed consent form on file.
For example, without your consent, we cannot:
โข Provide an ice pack for an injury
โข Offer basic care if they arenโt feeling well
โข Allow your child to visit the counselor if they are upset during the school day
Forms were sent home with all students. Please complete the form as soon as possible so your child can continue to receive these essential services at school. If you need another form, please contact your student's campus office.

This early release is necessary so that buses can complete their regular routes and then transport the football team, band, and cheerleaders to the game. We appreciate your understanding!

This Friday is a regular school day and all students are expected to attend.
After this week, there will only be one more regular Friday all year โ January 23. Remember: When weโre off on Monday, we go to school the following Friday!

Thank you for another AWESOME week of building relationships and inspiring growth. Let's come together and keep the momentum rolling for our kids and each other. ๐
I would like to share a few highlights of "Hard Work and Respect" from this week with you:
1. Congratulations on Alto ISD recognition in winning the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights Contest. We earned a $5,000 donation towards our athletic program with this award. ๐๐๐ฅโพ
2. Enrollment is still up at 521 Jackets. โฌ๏ธ Great week of attendance with the district meeting our goal at 96.23%๐ช
3. Volleyball swept Leverett's Chapel on Tuesday night. ๐
It is always a great week to be a Jacket!!๐

All students in grades 3โ7 brought home a flyer with information about our FFA program. Please note there are a few changes to the rules this year: baked goods, canned goods, and photography will no longer be offered at the Cherokee County Junior Livestock Show.
We look forward to having your child participate in our Jr. FFA program and canโt wait to see them in the show ring at the 2026 Cherokee County Livestock Show!

Kickoff follows at 7 PMโdonโt miss it!
Parents and community members should sit in the end section nearest the high school doors. Please do not enter the student section. Students may not be picked up from the pep rally. If youโd like your student to sit with you, please sign them out from their campus office ahead of time.
