🐰The Alto FFA Rabbit Show Team had a successful day at the Houston Livestock Show! These students are working hard over their spring break and doing a great job representing Alto. Way to go, Jackets! 🐝

Congratulations to our 2026-2027 cheerleaders!

This afternoon, we celebrated a special part of Yellowjacket history! 🏃♂️💛
This year marks 40 years since Alto’s 1986 State Championship and 30 years since the historic 1996 State Championships, when both the boys and girls teams brought home state titles. We were honored to welcome special guests representing all seven Alto state championship track teams:
🏆 Boys State Champions — 1986, 1996, 2004, 2014
🏆 Girls State Champions — 1996, 2003, 2005
These outstanding athletes laid the foundation for the proud tradition of the Alto ISD track program. Their dedication, hard work, and championship spirit continue to inspire today’s Yellowjackets!

Mr. Conley had the pleasure of making good news calls this afternoon! He noticed Lily and Ezekiel sharing with others during snack time and working extra hard on a math test, and wanted to let their parents know!

Alto ISD was well represented at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo this year! 🤠🐂
Lariat D. showed her heifer in the International Brahman Show and placed 3rd out of a huge class of 50 heifers — an outstanding accomplishment!
Angelina L., Makenzie S., Makenzie L. (9th place), Macee L. (15th place), and Alice M. (7th place) also represented Alto well in the Junior Beefmaster Show.
Showing livestock takes dedication, responsibility, early mornings, and late nights, and we are proud of the hard work these students put into raising and exhibiting their animalsl. Great job, Jackets! 💛🖤

Alto High School students had a great time yesterday with ThinkFast Interactive – Teen Driver Safety Edition! Jackets learned important lessons about safe driving and smart decision-making through a fun, high-energy interactive program — and even had chances to win great prizes!

Students, don’t forget—your last chance to take the TSI on campus this year will be April 10th. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity!

AMS StuCo and NJHS recently hosted a successful Blanket Drive to benefit the Cherokee County Crisis Center. Thanks to the generosity of our students, staff, and community, 75 blankets were collected to help comfort children during difficult times. We are proud of our students for showing compassion and making a difference for others in need. 💛

Many thanks to author and poet Devondra Banks for visiting our elementary students and reading several of her children’s books! This special experience was a wonderful way to end Read Across America Week . 📚✨

Please help us congratulate our AHS Students of the Month for February — Feleena, Erick, Ayralea, and Makenzie! These students have demonstrated hard work, positive attitudes, and dedication both in and out of the classroom. We are proud of the example they set for their peers!
We also want to recognize our February Teacher of the Month, Mrs. Laine Carpenter, who teaches Animal Science at AHS. Mrs. Carpenter was selected by her peers for the incredible impact she makes every day on our campus and with her students. Colleagues shared that she "consistently goes above and beyond for her students", even during the busy spring season filled with Ag events, always ensuring her students are supported and successful. They also noted that she is a strong, positive presence on campus who earns the respect of her students through her hard work and commitment.
