Mean Sting-  Thank you for an AWESOME week at Alto ISD!!☝️  I would like to share a few highlights of "Hard Work and Respect" from this week with you: 1. Alto Varsity Girls Softball defeats Grapeland in two games (16-1 & 15-0) to earn a  Bi-District Championship in back to back years!!🏆🏆 2. Alto High School had 5 students compete at the 26th Annual Blinn College Agriculture Mechanics Show, and all earned blue ribbons!!🏅 3. Enrollment stays consistent at 520 students. ☑️  4. Alto Elementary with some fun and interesting field trips: 4th grade to Kidzania, 3rd grade to Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, and Pre-K to the Zoo. Alto ISD loves providing unique learning experiences for our kids!! 💛 5. Alto ISD students, teachers, and staff with an excellent week of effort and encouragement in completing this year's STAAR tests!! Alto ISD is excited to welcome Coach James Carver as our new Football Defensive Coordinator! Coach Carver joins the Jackets from Lufkin ISD, one of the top 5A football programs in Texas, where he served as an assistant coach. He brings extensive experience across East Texas football, having contributed to multiple respected programs throughout the region, including Center and Nacogdoches ISD.

Coach Carver’s fifteen years of coaching experience also extends into baseball and softball, giving him a well-rounded athletic perspective. He and his wife, Leigh Anne, Community Relations and Marketing Manager at Nacogdoches Medical Center, are the proud parents of Max and Birdie.

We are thrilled to have the Carver family join the Jacket community!

Alto ISD is proud to welcome Coach Preston Blevins as our new Football Offensive Coordinator! Coach Blevins brings 14 years of coaching experience and joins us from Mount Enterprise, where he helped produce the #1 offense in the nation in 2025, according to MaxPreps. His Mount Enterprise offense powered the Wildcats to a 14–1 season, a district championship, and over 800 total points scored.

Coach Blevins also brings valuable experience from his time as Offensive Coordinator in Nacogdoches, along with a strong background in track, basketball, and baseball. He and his wife, Katie, a lecturer at SFA, are the proud parents of Charlie and Emily.

Yesterday, our 7th graders enjoyed an exciting trip to the Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve where they were able to enjoy up-close interactions with a wide variety of animals. Field trip days are the best!
