I would like to share a few highlights of "Hard Work and Respect" from this week with you:

1. Alto Middle Boys 7th AND 8th grade Track win the District Championship!!🏆

2. Alto Varsity Girls AND Boys 4X100 relay teams win the SFA Invitational Meet!!🏅🏃

3. Enrollment stays consistent at 519 students. Attendance overall was 94% for the week. ☑️

4. Alto Softball beats Mount Enterprise 11-1 to stay undefeated in District play!!🥎

5. Alto Baseball splits two games against Mount Enterprise to clinch a playoff appearance!!⚾️

6. Alto ISD students with an excellent week of preparation for the beginning of next week's STAAR tests!! 📚

7. Alto High UIL teams with a 4th place finish (5 points away from 3rd) in the District Meet with 16 Regional Qualifiers and alternates.💪

8. The UIL Academic CX Debate Team of Kenya Robertson and AJ Buckingham are District Champions and State Qualifiers!!🏆

The Lady Jacket softball game scheduled for this afternoon has been canceled due to field conditions.

Our Physics and Chemistry students have been busy with hands-on experiments! Physics students explored momentum and impulse by designing and building safety devices to protect eggs, while Chemistry students observed and completed a single replacement reaction as part of their study of different types of chemical reactions. 🔬🧪

👏 Our Yellowjackets represented Alto High School with excellence at last week’s Academic UIL meet! We are incredibly proud of these students for showcasing their academic talents. Today we celebrate Paraprofessional Appreciation Day and are thankful for the amazing paraprofessionals who support students across Alto ISD every day. 💛 A special thank you goes out from Daycare Director Mrs. Griffith to Ms. Sue, Ms. Reanna, and Ms. Kaylie for their dedication to our youngest learners at the Alto ISD Early Learning Center. These ladies create a safe, loving place for little ones to learn and grow. We appreciate all of our paraprofessionals across every campus — today and every day!

The Texas Education Agency provides free online practice STAAR tests that students can take from any grade level to help them feel confident and prepared. These practice tests allow students to see real question formats and become familiar with the online testing system.

Alto Baseball beats New Summerfield twice by a total of 33-3!!⚾️ 5. Alto High School and Coach Sudds with a great academic showing at the UIL district meet!! 📚 6. Alto ISD students with an incredible performance at our Cherokee County Junior Livestock Show. Jason Davis and Ag Mech Team with 12 blue ribbons including Rylan Hicks as Grand Champion, and Laine Carpenter's students and animals with Reserve Champion in Makenzie Low and Brylee Glover and Grand Champion in Macee Low. 💪 7. Kannon, Graceleigh, Miller, Everleigh, Nevaeh, and Noelle are shining examples of what it means to be great students. We are proud of their hard work, positive attitudes, and the way they represent Alto Elementary!

Nurse Lexi Dover was selected as the AES Staff Member of the Week! As our district nurse, Nurse Dover truly does it all — from complex medical needs to ice packs and bandaids, she is always there to care for our students and staff.

The District 22-AA Junior High Track Meet hits Mount Enterprise this Monday! Check out the schedule of events below and come ready to cheer on our Jackets as they compete for a district championship!

This morning at the Cherokee County Junior Livestock Show, Alto students represented our community well in the Market Goat show! 🐐 Lizbeth: 4th place lightweight goat 🐐 Emily: 6th medium weight goat 🐐 Anabel 11th place medium weight goat Angelina also exhibited her pen of heifers, a project that requires months of dedication and meticulous record keeping. She earned 9th place — way to go!

Our Alto ISD students continued their success in the show ring at the swine show! These ladies give it their all in the barn and in the show ring, and their hard work paid off!
