Kindergarten students had an exciting day of learning and exploring at EcoLand! 🐧❄️🌎
EcoLand, located at ESC 7 in Kilgore, is a hands-on learning center designed to bring classroom concepts to life through interactive experiences. Our students explored the Polar Learning Center and other learning environments as they discovered more about habitats, animals, adaptations, and the world around them.

Biology students got hands-on in the lab today, becoming enzymes in a simulated chemical reaction to explore how denatured enzymes, coenzymes, and competitive inhibitors impact enzyme effectiveness. 🧪🔬💛🖤

Grandparents Day Bingo Bonanza was a HUGE success! The cafeteria was full of AES students and grandparents laughing, playing, snacking, and having fun together. We’re so thankful for everyone who came out to make the night special!

💛💛 Friday Night, We’re Cheering for Deysy! 💛💛
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and this Friday night, our Yellowjacket family will come together to support one of our own — 11th grader Deysy Castillo. Deysy has been in the hospital in Dallas since early this summer, and we could not be prouder of the strength, courage, and fight she continues to show.
During Friday night’s game, a football helmet will be passed through the stands. If you feel led to give, we invite you to drop a donation in the helmet to support Deysy and her family. These funds can help with whatever her family needs — travel, daily expenses, or simply helping ease some of the financial burden that comes with this journey.
Most importantly, Friday night is about reminding Deysy that she is not fighting alone. She has an entire Yellowjacket family standing behind her, praying for her, cheering for her, and believing in her. #ALTOgether

For many of our students, September 11 is something they have only learned about in history books. But 25 years ago, it was a day that changed our nation and the lives of countless families.
Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the first responders and everyday heroes who stepped forward, and teach the next generation why we remember.

On Monday, September 14, from 5:00–6:30 PM, grandparents and “grandfriends” are invited to bring their AES grandchildren to the Alto ISD Cafeteria for an evening of BINGO, laughter, snacks, and prizes! 🏆
No RSVP is needed, and because this is an after-hours event, you do not need to stop by the office for a visitor badge. Just come ready to play, have some fun, and make some memories with your AES grandchild! ❤️
