Lucy always works so hard and is always respectful to her teachers and peers. We have a math test today, and she brought me 3 pages of studying and review she did after school yesterday. I'm proud to be her teacher!

🎉 Next week is HOMECOMING WEEK! 🎉
AHS Student Council has chosen some fun dress-up days for both AHS and AMS.
Our Alto Elementary students will be celebrating too, with their own set of themed days.
Check out the graphics with the whole week's lineup -- we can’t wait to see all the school spirit!

Several fourth graders recently read Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes by Eleanor Coerr. Today they successfully made their own paper cranes...and learned that origami is not easy!

Alto Varsity Football will play at Hull-Daisetta this Thursday, September 11, with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. Because Hull-Daisetta is a 2.5-hour trip by bus, Alto ISD will release early at 2:00 p.m. that day.
This early release is necessary so that buses can complete their regular routes and then transport the football team, band, and cheerleaders to the game. We appreciate your understanding!

Alto Middle School is gearing up for softball season! The first day of practice will be September 16th until 5:15. A parent meeting will be held immediately following practice.

Show season is coming up, and Alto FFA is excited!! If your student is interested in showing ANYTHING (livestock and/or shop project) with Alto FFA, please make plans to attend this meeting to discuss the project. There will be lots of great info at this meeting for the upcoming show season. We hope to see you there!

Reminder to Alto ISD Families:
A new Texas law (Senate Bill 12) now requires parents and guardians to provide consent before schools can offer certain physical or mental health services to students. We can no longer assist your child with routine needs unless it is a life-threatening emergency without a signed consent form on file.
For example, without your consent, we cannot:
• Provide an ice pack for an injury
• Offer basic care if they aren’t feeling well
• Allow your child to visit the counselor if they are upset during the school day
Forms were sent home with all students. Please complete the form as soon as possible so your child can continue to receive these essential services at school. If you need another form, please contact your student's campus office.

Mr. Davis’s Ag Mech/Metal Tech classes are off to a great start this year! They’ve already completed several projects, and along the way they’re putting their math skills to work. Today they calculated the cost of 14-gauge metal per square inch and then translated that into the cost of an entire sign!

Mr. Conley enjoyed meeting members of the Alto Lions Club at their meeting yesterday!

Our third grade students are practicing greater than/less than while enjoying a friendly game of "Comparing War". Hands-on activities like this make learning stick!
