We’re proud to share that Alto ISD earned a “B” rating from TEA for both 2024 and 2025 — a strong reflection of our dedicated teachers, hardworking students, and supportive community. 💛🖤
Each year, the Texas Education Agency issues accountability ratings that measure how well schools are helping students learn, grow, and prepare for the future. These ratings are based on factors like academic achievement, student progress from year to year, and how well schools are closing learning gaps.
Visit TXschools.gov to see the rating for your child’s campus and explore details about how each school is preparing students for the next grade level — and for success after high school.

🚨 School Bus Safety Reminder 🚨
It’s back-to-school season, and that means Alto ISD school buses are back on the roads! Let's keep kids safe by following the law and staying alert:
🛑 STOP for School Buses
Texas law requires drivers in both directions to stop when a school bus has flashing red lights—unless there’s a raised median or physical barrier between you and the bus.
📍 Left-turn lanes don't count as dividers—drivers on both sides must stop.
🚂 Bonus Tip: All school buses stop at railroad crossings—be patient!
Driver Safety Tips:
• Watch for kids near bus stops and school zones
• Slow down—especially during pickup/drop-off times
• Expect the unexpected—children may dart into the street
• Know the laws and help protect young lives
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe! 💛🖤

This year, Texas has implemented a new law that bans student cell phone use during instructional time on all public school campuses.
At Alto ISD, we interpret the entire school day as instructional time, with one exception: the 30-minute lunch period. That means phones must be off and away from the time students walk through the doors in the morning until the final bell at 4:00 p.m., with the exception of lunch.
To align with this new law while still promoting responsible use, Middle School and High School students may use their phones during the lunch period. However, Elementary students may not use phones at any time during the school day, including lunch.
Thank you for helping us create a distraction-free learning environment. 💛🖤
