Alto Elementary will be celebrating with Valentine’s Day parties and a card exchange on Thursday, February 13th, at the end of the school day. Party times vary by grade level, so please check the flyer for details.
For the safety of our students, all visitors are required to wear an identification badge processed through Raptor, the district's screening system. Guests who will attend Valentine's Day Parties are invited to submit their information online in order to have their badge prepared early. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd7bWPCRa10SNxx3yGYXbHGLINucTge1uEOM2pTao--yTKIdQ/viewform?pli=1

👏 Congratulations to all of our students and sponsors for representing Alto with excellence at the Fort Worth Stock Show!

We know many families have been wondering how this week’s closures on Monday and Tuesday will impact the rest of the school year. Here’s the good news: these missed days will NOT require makeup time.
Texas public school districts are required to provide a minimum of 75,600 instructional minutes each year. Our district calendar was intentionally built with extra instructional minutes to account for situations like this. As long as we are able to operate as scheduled for the remainder of the school year, no makeup days will be needed.

AHS Baseball parents—please join the coaches for a Parent Meeting on Monday, February 2nd at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria.
Important information for the upcoming season will be shared!

Middle School: tmoore@alto.esc7.net
High School: shicks@alto.esc7.net

The issue is expected to be resolved by Thursday or Friday. Thank you for your patience as we work through this inconvenience.

Due to poor road conditions that are expected to worsen overnight, there will be no school on Tuesday, January 27.
We miss our Yellowjackets and hope you’re staying safe and warm! 💛🐝

Without real coping tools 🧠💡, they may turn to quick fixes like substances or excessive screen time 📱, which can lead to even bigger challenges down the road.
Parents can change the game by:
✅ Teaching practical, age‑appropriate coping skills
✅ Validating emotions instead of brushing them aside 💬❤️
✅ Modeling healthy stress‑management at home 🧘♀️🏡

We are continuing to monitor weather conditions for this weekend and any potential impacts to school operations next week. If a delay, early release, or closure becomes necessary, we will communicate as early as possible, hopefully by Sunday afternoon.

Due to weather forecasts, the following activities have had schedule adjustments:
Thursday, January 22:
Middle School Basketball @ Cushing begins at 4:00 PM
Friday, January 23:
JV & Varsity Basketball at home, beginning at 4:30 PM
Saturday, January 24:
MS Boys Basketball Tournament in Elkhart — Canceled
Softball scrimmage in Elkhart — Rescheduled to January 31
In the event of a delayed start or school closure, the district uses multiple methods to share important messages with the community. This is the perfect time to download the Alto ISD App to stay informed with the latest updates! 📲
