It was no ordinary day in Mrs. Parker’s RLA class! Students walked in to find a skeleton waiting for them—and a warning that zombies were nearby! 🧟♂️
Each student received a color-coded card that determined their base, role, resources, and special advantages or disadvantage. After teaming up, groups created survival maps complete with legends and detailed written plans for how to outlast the zombie invasion.
The fun activity had a serious purpose: students demonstrated their understanding of sentence fluency by crafting clear, varied sentences in their survival plans. Great work, Mrs. Parker’s class—way to make learning come alive! 💀📚

A big thank you to our local heroes for spending the day with us and keeping our community safe! ❤️

Red Ribbon Week began in 1985 in honor of DEA Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, whose dedication to fighting drug trafficking inspired a nationwide movement. The red ribbon became a symbol of living drug-free and making safe, healthy choices.
We’re excited to celebrate with a dress-up week to show our commitment—check out the themes below! ❤️💪

Congratulations to our Alto Elementary Students of the Week! These students have shown outstanding hard work and respect, setting a great example for their classmates. 💛
Our AES Staff Member of the Week is Mrs. Blankinship! Affectionately called Mawmaw by many, Mrs. Blankinship is the perfect mix of firm and loving. She keeps everyone on track while bringing warmth and care to our campus!

Our students demonstrated hard work and respect while competing against other East Texas schools. We are proud to announce that the Jaycee C. group came out on top, winning 1st place, and two groups, Daxton M. and Avery S., earned Judges' Choice awards! 🏆👏
