We are proud to announce that Alto ISD has earned a PERFECT score of 100 and an “A – Superior Achievement” rating from the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST)!
This marks the 14th consecutive year that Alto ISD has received the highest possible rating, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to responsible and transparent financial management. We would like to thank Ms. Kelley Robertson and our Board of Trustees for their dedication to our district’s financial integrity and excellence.
The FIRST rating system holds Texas public schools accountable for the quality of their financial practices, evaluating factors such as financial solvency, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. Alto ISD’s perfect score is a testament to our strong stewardship of taxpayer dollars and our focus on supporting student success.

🚨 School Bus Safety Reminder 🚨
It’s back-to-school season, and that means Alto ISD school buses are back on the roads! Let's keep kids safe by following the law and staying alert:
🛑 STOP for School Buses
Texas law requires drivers in both directions to stop when a school bus has flashing red lights—unless there’s a raised median or physical barrier between you and the bus.
📍 Left-turn lanes don't count as dividers—drivers on both sides must stop.
🚂 Bonus Tip: All school buses stop at railroad crossings—be patient!
Driver Safety Tips:
• Watch for kids near bus stops and school zones
• Slow down—especially during pickup/drop-off times
• Expect the unexpected—children may dart into the street
• Know the laws and help protect young lives
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe! 💛🖤

This year, Texas has implemented a new law that bans student cell phone use during instructional time on all public school campuses.
At Alto ISD, we interpret the entire school day as instructional time, with one exception: the 30-minute lunch period. That means phones must be off and away from the time students walk through the doors in the morning until the final bell at 4:00 p.m., with the exception of lunch.
To align with this new law while still promoting responsible use, Middle School and High School students may use their phones during the lunch period. However, Elementary students may not use phones at any time during the school day, including lunch.
Thank you for helping us create a distraction-free learning environment. 💛🖤
