When neighbors call, Alto answers. 💛 On their way to the State Championship game, the bus carrying Newton ISD’s band and cheerleaders broke down right here in Alto. Newton’s superintendent reached out to Mr. Conley for help. Mr. Johnny and Mrs. Stephenson responded without hesitation—providing a bus and personally driving the students all the way to Arlington. Within an hour, the students were back on the road and headed to their championship destination. Behind the scenes, Alto coaches jumped in to cover Mrs. Stephenson’s and Mr. Johnny’s regular bus routes, ensuring our own students still got home safely. Mrs. Stephenson shared, “It was an honor to transport Newton’s respectful and grateful students to Arlington.” This is what community and teamwork look like. 🐝

🎄🧝‍♂️ Elf Academy was a hit! Families learned how to add fun to learning by transforming traditional games into educational activities. Along the way, they enjoyed refreshments, stories, and prizes—all while making great memories together.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Hammons for organizing this wonderful event, our community partners at Alto Family Medical Clinic and the Alto Police Department for lending a helping hand, and HM Photography for capturing all the festive fun with amazing photos! ❤️🎅📸

Alto ISD is proud to recognize Mary Claire Sarandos for earning the Olds Endowment Award for Outstanding Elementary Educator, an award that honors one exemplary student teacher from SFA’s Educator Preparation Program each semester.

Ms. Sarandos spent the fall semester as an intern teacher in third grade with Mrs. Landrum and Mrs. Mabry. Her high energy and infectious smile made a lasting impression on students and staff alike. We’re excited to share that at last night’s board meeting, she was officially hired as a sixth grade teacher! Congratulations, Ms. Sarandos—we’re so glad you’re part of the Alto ISD family! 💙📚

Our fifth graders held a very special funeral this week…for "six seven!" 🪦😄 If you know, you know. Their teachers turned this into a creative learning activity, and students wrote and delivered heartfelt (and hilarious!) eulogies for the “dearly departed.” What a fun way to build writing, speaking, and critical-thinking skills! ✍️📚
