On March 12, 2026, Alto ISD will host the annual Alto Yellowjacket Relays Track Meet. This year holds special significance as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of an unforgettable moment in Yellowjacket history — when both our boys’ and girls’ track teams captured State Championships in 1996.

Throughout our proud tradition of excellence, Alto track and field has earned a combined seven state championships:

Boys State Championships:
1986 • 1996 • 2004 • 2014

Girls State Championships:
1996 • 2003 • 2005

To honor this legacy, we would like to warmly invite all members of our previous state championship teams to attend this year’s meet as our special guests. A recognition ceremony celebrating these teams will take place at 1:30 PM, prior to the running of the 4x100 relay. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the athletes, coaches, and teams who helped build the proud tradition of Alto track and field. Your accomplishments continue to inspire future generations of Yellowjackets!

Alto Elementary celebrated the 100th Day of School in a big way! Our students marked this exciting milestone by dressing in special 100th Day shirts and even transforming into what they think they’ll look like at 100 years old — complete with gray hair, glasses, and canes! 👵👴

Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of fun “100” activities — counting to 100, creating collections of 100 items, and more! We are so proud of all the hard work our students and teachers have put in over the first 100 days!
