⚽️ AHS Soccer Club played their very first scrimmage Thursday evening! As a recreational team (not a UIL sport), our students had the opportunity to take the field for a fun and competitive scrimmage against Hudson. We are so proud of these athletes for their hard work and sportsmanship. A big thank you to our supportive community, along with Mr. Waddleton and Mrs. Dickens, for helping make this opportunity possible for our students. What a great start for our Soccer Club! ⚽️👏

As part of CTE Month, Alto ISD proudly hosted our annual CTE Showcase! Our 7th and 8th grade students had the opportunity to explore the five Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs of Study offered at AHS:

• Animal Science
• Agricultural Technology & Mechanical Systems
• Business Management
• Diagnostic & Therapeutic Services
• Teaching & Training

Teachers and students shared valuable information and gave hands-on demonstrations to highlight the skills learned in each program. This experience helps our middle school students begin thinking about their interests and make informed decisions about their future pathways.

Alto ISD is committed to ensuring that all partnerships reflect the values and expectations of our district and community. At this time, we are pausing our relationship with Lifetouch and are consulting with legal counsel regarding our options for exiting the current contract.

Prior to the most recent information brought to our attention, we had already begun exploring the possibility of working with local photographers for future campus needs. Our goal has always been to partner with vendors who best serve our students, families, and community.

At this time, the only photos previously scheduled with Lifetouch are elementary class pictures on April 9. We will notify families well in advance of that date regarding who will be taking those photos.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work through this process thoughtfully and responsibly. If you have questions, please contact the administration office.

The best prevention doesn’t start with lectures — it starts with listening 👂💬
When teens feel safe and not judged, they open up more.

Try curious questions like:
🔹 “Help me understand what’s working for you about this.”

This helps uncover the real reasons behind risky choices — stress, fitting in, or identity — and guide teens toward healthier options 💛

Teens who hear about drug risks from parents are up to 50% less likely to use 🚫
Build strong communication and grab your Prevention Playbook at angelinacoalition.org/resources.

The Drug-Free Council program is funded by a grant from TxDOT to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes in Texas. @thecoalition936 #DriveLikeATexan #PreventionPlaybook #ParentingTeens #TeenSafety #HealthyCommunication
